Explain simply
If a simulated world behaves exactly like an ordinary world, an experiment cannot tell them apart. First we need a specific version of the idea that predicts a difference.
A simulation hypothesis becomes empirically distinguishable only when a specified implementation predicts an observable difference from the comparison physical model. If two models predict the same distribution of every accessible observation, those observations cannot identify which implementation exists.
Questions worth investigating

Suggest one observation that could separate two explanations. Explain what result would make you change your mind.
- Which host constraint is assumed, and why would it affect internal observations?
- What calibrated physical noise model explains the same data?
- Which prespecified effect size and null result would count against the proposed implementation?
How to investigate

Pick one small experiment. Say what normal physics predicts, what your simulation idea predicts, and how you will check that noise or equipment did not cause the difference.
For a small quantum-circuit study, define the complexity proxy, controls, noise calibration and analysis before collecting outcomes. Separate classical simulation cost, entanglement and state-preparation resources. Publish the circuit and analysis so an independent system can challenge the proposed distinction.
What the evidence can tell us

No quantum experiment has been completed here. Finding no effect could rule against the version tested, but would not rule out every possible simulation.
The current quantum protocol is a draft. No quantum experiment has been completed for this programme. A failed model would constrain its own assumptions, not every possible simulation hypothesis.
