What can we test next?

We are investigating ideas about how reality works. Some connect physics, minds and ancient history. We have not proved that the universe is a simulation. Useful questions, evidence and disagreements can help us learn.

01Test design

Physics & simulation

Could our universe be running on something like a computer? We need a test that would give a different result if that were true.

Explain simply

If a simulated world behaves exactly like an ordinary world, an experiment cannot tell them apart. First we need a specific version of the idea that predicts a difference.

02Evidence audit

Ancient civilizations

How did ancient people build extraordinary monuments? Compare the measurements, tools and evidence for each site.

Explain simply

A very heavy stone is impressive, but its weight alone cannot tell us who moved it. A stone carved where it stands is also different from one transported a long distance.

03Open question

Floods & resets

Do flood stories describe real disasters, and is there evidence for a deliberate reset? These are separate questions.

Explain simply

Evidence of a flood can show that a flood happened. To show that someone caused a reset, we would need extra evidence that natural events do not explain.

04Open question

Mind & life

What can brains, sleep and consciousness tell us about reality? Start with things we can actually measure.

Explain simply

Calling the brain a computer can be a useful comparison. It does not, by itself, show that a computer outside our universe controls it.

05Model development

Ethics & recursion

If one simulated world creates another, would concern for its inhabitants survive? The answer depends on how values are passed on.

Explain simply

Imagine repeatedly copying a set of rules about protecting people. Copying them faithfully keeps the rules. Losing or changing them in one direction can change the outcome.

06Working synthesis

Unification & tests

Can different ideas fit together into an explanation we can test? Look for both connections and contradictions.

Explain simply

Putting many interesting ideas together does not automatically make a theory. The parts need to agree logically and lead to predictions we can check.
